Third Transnational Project Meeting of “Save for Waste” project in Larissa, Greece
The third partner meeting of the “Save for Waste” project took place in the period 03.08 – 05.08.2023 in Larissa, Greece. Hosted by the local “9th Gymnasium” from the town and NGO AID. The event was attended by representatives of all the participating organizations of the project – Association “Center for Sustainability and Economic Growth” and Primary School „ Prof. Ivan Batakliev” from the town of Pazardzhik, Bulgaria, Association for Economic Development and Primary school “St. Cyril and Methodius” – Kochani, from the town of Kochani, North Macedonia.
During the meeting, the partners discussed and reviewed all the results achieved during the project, further activities were planned to ensure the sustainability and continuation of the project even after its end, all potential issues related to the information campaign and guidelines were given for the final project report. This meeting also focused mainly on:
- Analysis of the results achieved by the project activities
- Analysis of the results of the implemented studies
- A selection of best practices from the three countries
- Organization and participation in the National Dissemination Events and the Final Project Conference
- Preparation of the final report
The two intellectual outputs that have been developed under the project, namely ” Training courses development, piloting activities on food waste management and toolkit development for teachers from secondary schools” and “Documentation and policy brief recommendations development relevant to food waste management for NGOs and policy makers” were also presented at the meeting. Both products are available and free to use in English, Bulgarian, Greek and Macedonian on the project website – https://save4waste.cseg.eu.
At the end of the meeting, the upcoming events were also specified – in the final part of the project, an event will be held in each country with the main objective to present the main results and intellectual outputs produced within the project to stakeholders. For Bulgaria, this final meeting will take place on 16 November 2023 in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. It is expected to be attended by more than 50 stakeholders from the country.
“Save 4 Waste” Project started at the beginning of 2022 with a duration of 2 years, and it is co-funded by the EU Programme ERASMUS+. Partnership includes 6 partners from Bulgaria (2), Greece (2), and North Macedonia (2).
