Second kindergarten teachers’ training event in Bulgaria under the KIDS&LAWS project

In the period of 4th – 9th of July 2024, a partners’ meeting and the second kindergarten teachers’ training event took place in Velingrad, Bulgaria within the frame of the KIDS&LAWS project, funded under the Erasmus+ Programme.

The event started with a welcome speech and introduction to the training. The first part of the teachers’ training was on the topic of “Using open educational resources (OER) suitable for preschool-age children”. This part was held by an expert from the NGO “Action for the civil society”, Greece. The teachers worked in mixed teams, carrying out practical exercises.

During the Second Parallel Working Session, members of the Project management team (team leaders from each project partner) worked on the final adoption of the Communication Plan.

During the second working day, the training of teachers was carried out by an expert from the Association “Center for Sustainability and Economic Growth”, Pazardzhik, Bulgaria on the topic of “Tolerance, anti-discrimination and reducing of aggressive behaviour of preschool children”.

Then the teachers developed lesson plans for the preschool children.

The parallel working session continued with the development of the Intellectual Output 2 – Document on establishing a transnational strategic partnership for the improvement of educational processes in the regions of Kochani – North Macedonia, Velingrad – Bulgaria and Athens – Greece.

Teachers were divided into teams, under the guidance of the NGO AVENA, and worked on creating of 8 “case studies” to introduce the rules and laws to respect human rights in their work with preschool children.

On the fourth day of the training, the teacher teams finished their developed “case studies”.

On the final day of the teachers’ training event, the achievements of the previous days were presented to the Project Management Team. This was followed by a discussion and preparation of the upcoming activities with a focus on the long-term teaching-learning activities and transnational competitive event in the three kindergartens.
